Weekend Activities

Jaguars on the Lawn

Sunday 4th June

We are delighted to host the East Sussex Jaguar Enthusiasts Club for an annual summer event with some of their beatiful cars.

No extra charge for this event
International SUNday and Father's day

Sunday 18th June

Initiated by the Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project (CBSAP), we are hoping to celebrate with a sunny summer day. Come and join in the fun and take the opportunity to learn about the Sun and look at it safely through a solar telescope donated by Stephen Ramsden, founder of CBSAP. Other solar scopes will be available including those from Wealden Astronomy Society.

Even if we don’t see the Sun you can still learn all about it! This is all offered at NO extra cost to your normal admission price.

AND because it is Father's Day we thought we would make it extra special so Dads and Grandads can come in for just £5 per person if they are accompanied by a full paying child.
3D Printing Workshop

You will also have the opportunity to create and print your own tag. Just bring your laptop and a sense of adventure! It would be useful if you were able to pre-load your lap top with the programme that you will be using on the day from

Time: 1pm - 5pm
Cost: £35 (includes tea/coffee and pastries)
Course Lecturer: Stephen Britt

Please phone the Centre on 01323 832731 to reserve a place.

Halloween Spooktacular

Saturday October 29th and Sunday 30th

Come and join us for a weekend of fabulously fun and spooky activities including Screaming Bats, Pumpkin Lanterns, Dancing Bones and Spooky Colouring. These activities are offered as drop-in activities throughout the weekend during specific times of the day.

Cost: £2 extra per child for children 2 years and above.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note that activities may change on the day.

These activities are also being offered during the Open Evening on Saturday 29th October.
Come and join us for a very different experience! SOUNDSCAPE, a concert of sheer escapism with an extraordinary piano quartet. Stunning big-screen visuals, a breathtaking backdrop to the Brighton Film Quartet's hauntingly beautiful cinematic music and multi-layered soundtrack. Classical meets minimalism, with an unexpected twist. Think Einaudi with attitude, Nyman on a night out. All this plus you will have an opportunity to look through the telescopes and spot Jupiter and Saturn (weather permitting). Soundscape has been quoted as being: "A class act. Top musicians and beautiful compositions." Julian Caddy, Brighton Fringe Director BOOKING ESSENTIAL. SUPPER INCLUDED
