Ecology and More!

Ecology and More!

Although the theme for the eco zone this year is the ecology of East Sussex, many of the activity tables will be familiar to those who have visited before.

Inside the eco zone, which you can visit at any time between 11am and 4pm there will be things to draw and colour, you will be able to make a beautiful felt butterfly mosaic and you will be able to look at intriguing insects through a microscope. We also have some fascinating displays to show the different types of habitats in the county together with information about where you can see the diverse plant and animal life. For those interested in the geology that helped to create the different habitats there is information about the 'Wealden Dome' and detailed geology maps of the county.

There is NO extra charge for this activity. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. These activities may change at short notice.

No booking required
Do you know what a group of butterflies is called?
We tweeted the answer in August 2014!

Check out the galleries of Eco Zone activities and butterflies! Even when the school holidays are over, the photo galleries are here for everyone to enjoy
